Vintage Repousse Sterling Silver Napkin Ring - Elephant, Foliage & "J" Monogram

Handsome sterling silver repousse napkin ring with an elephant and another animal that has the body of a lion but head is dragon-like (chimera?). Also detailed with vine-like foliage. Monogrammed with a "J". Light hand-hammering can be seen in the area round the J, and on the plain elephant body. It is marked "Sterling" on the inside bottom in the area under the shield.

This napkin ring weighs 19 grams on my postal scale. It has a 6" circumference around the outside; 1-3/8" high x a little over 1-3/8" across the opening. Not perfectly round as seen from the openings. A couple of tool marks are seen on the inside. Polished lightly so still has some patina, especially on the inside.
