This is a very sexy, art deco, 1930s chantilly lace long gown in a beautiful, all over, floral pattern.
The gown is made of the same patterned chantilly lace throughout. The cap sleeves end with the petals of several flowers protruding outward along the arms. The gown is fitted and has a series of snaps on one side to do it up. Two thirds of the way down the length of the gown is where the very full gored skirt bottom starts. This makes the gown perfect for dancing.
The condition of the gown is excellent. I found only one thing to mention. Located in the front on the waistband is one little 3/4 inch section which needs to be stitched down to the seam again. It is a very quick fix. There are no other flaws. There are no holes or rips or tears or stains.
The gown is a rare, generous size for the period as the following measurements indicate: shoulder to shoulder approx 15-16", bust 20", waist 15", hips 18", shoulder to hem 60", waist to hem 42", depth of bottom gored skirt 29", and the sleeve length approximately (no seams) 5".
