This is an amazing Edwardian 9.79 carat natural Persian turquoise ring, circa 1900. The Edwardians loved their dazzling, eye-catching dinner rings, and this one is fabulous! I purchased this lovely ring from my dealer who buys estate and antique rings from royalty, dukes, and duchesses in Europe when they want to liquidate their treasures, and he said this was a very prized ring. The size of the cluster ring, the size of the turquoise make this a real statement piece. You will sparkle and dazzle when you enter the room with this ring on your finger!
There is one round cabochon cut natural Persian turquoise which measures 14.70 x 13.40 x 6.00mm or 1/2 an inch in diameter. The total weight of the turquoise is 9.79 carats. Surrounding the turquoise are 19 prong set Old European cut diamonds, a gorgeous VS1-SI1 in clarity, I-J in color, weighing approximately 1.33 carats. The ring is set in a tested 14K yellow gold mounting, meaning it has 58.3% fineness of pure gold.
The ring measures 3/4 of an inch from top to bottom & from east to west and sits up 1/4 of an inch from the finger. It totally fills up my fourth finger, and I have large hands. The ring is 7.25 in ring size, which can be easily sized up or down by a good jeweler. The total piece weighs 7.25 grams.
