Antique Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Ring Platinum

What a stunning antique Art Deco sapphire & diamond cluster engagement ring this is, circa 1920. I wish we knew who has worn this ring down through the decades. Was it an engagement ring to his sweetheart? Was it a special birthstone ring given to a daughter? Whoever has loved it, now that someone can be you!

The is one cushion shaped faceted prong set blue sapphire measuring 7.47 x 5.65 x 2.88mm, weighing approximately 1.13 carats. The sapphires has a dark green blue color of moderately high saturation, with good intensity. There are thirteen old European/old Mine cut diamonds measuring approximately 2.30 mm, weighing approximately 70/100 of a carat, and one single cut diamond. The diamonds have a lovely G-H-I color and a good cut. The ring is set in a platinum tested tapered shank with a tiered halo crown meaning it has 950/1000ths of pure platinum. The ring measures 3/4 of an inch from top to bottom, 5/8ths of an inch from east to west, and sits up 5/16ths of an inch. The ring is size 6.5 and can be easily sized up or down by a good jeweler. The total piece weighs 4.65 grams.
