What a truly exquisite engagement or wedding day ring this would make! The 1920's Art Deco setting of this fabulous sapphire & 16 diamonds, its lovely low profile, its eye-catching platinum setting make this a wonderful gift to your best girl or to yourself, if you are a September baby like me who loves all things blue. The intense blueberry color of this sapphire is stunning! Notice the lovely hand made curls of platinum underneath the table of the ring, which are part of the setting of the diamonds.......so beautiful! Purchased in Belgium, it most likely was created there as well the dealer told me. I have a hard time tearing my eyes away from this gorgeous ring!
There is one bezel set oval modified brilliant cut created blue sapphire which weighs approximately 4.19 carats, with a dark, strong, deep, violetish blue color, eye clean clarity, with an excellent cut, circa 1920's. These created sapphires were all the rage in the 1920's, much more desired, coveted than real sapphires because they were so rare, so new, so perfect. The workmanship of the sapphire & the setting make this an Art Deco treasure that you will adore. There are sixteen bead set single cut diamonds, weighing approximately 16/100 of a carat, with gorgeous near colorless H-I color, bright lovely SI2-I1 clarity.
The ring is set in a hand made tested platinum setting, meaning it has 950/1000ths of pure platinum. The ring measures 5/8ths of an inch from top to bottom, 1/2 an inch from east to west, and sits up 3/16ths of an inch from the finger. Ring size 9, the ring can be easily sized up or down by a good jeweler. The total piece weighs 4.11 grams.
