This is an exquisite antique Victorian ring, circa 1880-1901. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, your search may be over. Victorian girls were so crazy about sapphires and this one is very special. Notice the gold embellishments on the shoulders of the ring, the 1-3 dots of gold accentuating the bezel set sapphires, the way it fills up your finger with its size. How I wish I knew who proposed with this beauty in his pocket! This would make a wonderful right hand ring if you're a September baby like me. I adore anything sapphire and this ring is very special!
There is one round brilliant cut diamond, weighing 27/100 of a carat, with a gorgeous bright G/H color & a very bright sparkling VS1 clarity. The six round faceted sapphires surround the diamond, measure approximately 3.5mm & weigh approximately 35/100 of a carat. The sapphires are medium dark blue of moderate saturation, type II, SI2 in clarity. The ring is size 5.5, which can be easily sized up or down by a good jeweler. The tested 14K yellow gold ring is bezel set with diamond and sapphires, meaning it has 58.3% fineness of pure gold. Notice the beautiful decorative gold work down the shoulders of the ring. The piece weighs 5.4 grams. The ring measures 3/4 of an inch from east to west and from top to bottom.
