Antique Victorian Pyrope Garnet & Seed Pearl Ring 14K

What a darling piece of history this antique Victorian ring is! Circa 1880-1900, this beautiful natural pyrope garnet cluster ring is surrounded by natural seed pearls. How I wish it could tell us who has loved it down through the decades! There is one prong set oval shaped pyrope garnet which measures 6.50 x 5.00 x 3.07mm, weighing approximately 76/100 of a carat. The garnet has a deep brownish red color of high saturation, slightly included with crown facets. Surrounding the center stone are eight prong set seed pearls measuring 2.00mm.

The ring is set in a tested 14K yellow gold tapered shank with engraved accent at the base of the halo crown, meaning it has 58.3% fineness of pure gold. The ring measures 7/16ths of an inch from top to bottom, 5/8ths of an inch from east to west, and sits up 1/4 of an inch from the finger. Ring size 6, the ring can be easily sized by a good jeweler. The ring weighs 3.1 grams.
