There is one prong set oval cabochon cut natural emerald measuring 8.00 x 7.40 x 14mm, weighing approximately 3.10 carats. The emerald has medium dark saturation, is very slightly bluish green, very slightly grayish green color, slightly included like most emeralds, with a good cut. Surrounding the emerald are six prong set Old European cut diamonds, a brilliant, bright VS2-SI1 clarity, bright sparkling H/I in color, weighing approximately 20/100 of a carat. Beneath the diamonds and a rope setting are six prong set round modified brilliant cut natural blue sapphires, weighing approximately 1.44 carats, type II, medium saturation, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color, with a good cut.
The stones are set in a tested 14K yellow gold setting, with double twisted rope band setting for the shank of the ring, and a decorative twisted rope band setting encircling each sapphire, and beneath each diamond. The ring is size 5, which can be easily sized by a good jeweler. The ring measures 5/8ths of an inch from east to west, from top to bottom, & sits up 3/8ths of an inch from the finger. The total piece weighs 6.88 grams.
