What an exquisite ring this is.....the gorgeous 90/100 carat transitional cut VS2-SI1 diamond, the cathedral mount, the fabulous surrounding diamonds, the luxurious platinum setting, the wonderful late Edwardian to early Art Deco look of this ring! I am crazy about these perfectly lovely early 20th century rings, and this one is so very special. Are you a bride looking for your very special engagement/wedding ring? Are you an April baby looking for a right hand birthstone ring to wear each and every day? No matter what the reason, you will fall in love with this fabulous diamond ring set in luxurious platinum. Stunning, even more so in person than the photos show!!!
There is transitional cut diamond set into an eight pronged head with an approximate weight of 90/100 of a carat, with a beautiful I/J color, good cut, beautiful SI1 clarity. Two prong set single cut diamonds are mounted below the center stone in two triangles of platinum on each side. Four single cut prong set diamonds are set down the shoulders of the setting. The eight smaller diamonds weigh approximately 12/100 of a carat, with a gorgeous VS2-SI1 clarity, I/J in color with a good cut. Circa 1910-1920, the total weight of the diamonds is 1.02 carats. The ring is size 7 3/4 & can be easily sized up or down by a good jeweler. The ring measures 1/4 of an inch in diameter.
The mounting is both stamped & tested platinum, meaning it has 950/1000ths of pure platinum. The main diamond sits 1/4 of an inch up from the finger, in an engraved & mil grained cathedral mount. There are cut-out bullet shapes underneath the mount & engraving down the shoulders. Notice the eight triangles which surround the center diamond below its mounting. This is such an exquisite mounting!
