There is one old mine cut diamond measuring 3.8mm and seven single cut diamonds measuring 2.2-1.3mm, with a total estimated weight of 33/100 of a carat. The diamonds are I/J in color & VS-SI in clarity. The largest Old Mine Cut diamond dangles down from the piece, with one cultured pearl measuring 6.2mm dangling below the major diamond. There are six additional cultured round pearls. The brooch is peg set with the cultured pearls; the diamonds are bead and tube set. Circa 1920's, this lovely brooch/necklace has been loved since the Art Deco period, & now you can enjoy it forever. Notice the beautiful open work, and hand made scroll work which makes the piece so lovely. The total piece weighs 5.6 grams.
The mounting has been tested and is 18K yellow gold, meaning it has 75% fineness of pure gold, topped with tested platinum, of 950/1000ths of pure platinum. The brooch measures 1 3/8ths of an inch fro top to bottom and 1 1/16ths of an inch from east to west. The bail has been added to the top so that you can wear it as a necklace, and is rather tiny. We will change it for you at no charge to a bigger bail if you want to wear it as a necklace. What a lovely piece!
