The is one finely detailed antique Victorian opal & cultured seed pearl circular pendant, circa 1880's-1900. In the center is a cabochon cut opal measuring 7.5mm, weighing approximately 1.25 carats, accented with 24 darling seed pearls each measuring 2.5mm. This pendant was probably a brooch at one time, converted into a pendant. The bale measures 4mm wide and will accommodate a thin to medium thickness chain. Please note the chain is not included, but for display only. The opal has a good color matrix with gorgeous flashes of green, yellow, turquoise, & purple. The pendant is in very good original condition and has no been cleaned in order to preserve the patina & collector value.
The pendant is marked and tested 14K rose gold, meaning it has 58.3% fineness of pure gold. The pendant measures 1 inch from top to bottom and from east to west. The total piece weighs 3.1 grams.
