There is one old mine cut diamond weighing approximately 35/100 of a carat in the center, with an I/J color, and an SI1 clarity. Surrounding the center stone in a starburst design are 10 old mine cut diamonds, weighing approximately 1.20 of a carat. These diamonds are H/I/J in color with a gorgeous VS2-SI1 in clarity. The total diamond weight of this piece is approximately 1.55 carats. Circa 1890's, the mounting has been carefully tested & is 14K yellow gold, meaning it has 58.3% fineness of pure gold. The total piece weighs 9.5 grams. Notice the tiny spokes of gold in the center surrounding the center diamond with tiny little stars.....adorable! Surrounding the 10 outer diamonds are beautiful swoops of yellow gold ending in 3 dots of gold, alternating with one dot of gold. The hand-made setting is exquisite and so late 19th century!
The piece measures 1 inch in diameter, 1 3/8ths of an inch from the bail to the bottom & sits up 1/4 of an inch. Notice the bail can be tucked behind the piece when you are wearing it as a pin.
