Circa 1901-1915, this exquisite Edwardian circle Old European/Old Mine Cut transitional cut diamond pendant/brooch has been some lucky girl's favorite piece for over 100 years, and now it can be yours to enjoy forever! It hangs perfectly on a white gold chain, or we can add a bail for you at cost. It totally reminds me of a piece in Downton Abbey, worn by the Countess or Lady Mary as they go down to dinner. I love its size, its design with the leaves of platinum with a diamond centered on each leaf, circles of diamonds surrounding the outer edges of the pin, triangles of platinum on the inner circle with another diamond in the center of each triangle. This pendant/brooch is very sophisticated, romantic, & will be a magnificent wedding, anniversary, or birthday treat for a very special lady! I am crazy about this exquisite piece and I hope you love it too!
There are a total of 39 transitional round brilliant cut, Old European cut, & old mine cut diamonds, which measure 2.1-3.1mm, weighing approximately 2.85 carats. The diamonds are a gorgeous, near colorless G/H in color, with a bright, sparkling perfect VS1-VS2-SI2 in clarity. The brooch measures 1 7/16ths of an inch in diameter which gives it an incredible presence and look. The mounting has been tested & is platinum, meaning it has 950/1000ths of pure platinum. The circle pin is bead & bezel set with diamonds, which are eye clean. Notice the three dimensional look of this piece, as eight of the diamonds are raised above the others to meet the triangles of platinum. There is mill grained trim which is beautiful. The 10K yellow gold pin at the back, probably added later, has been tested and is stamped 101G. The total piece weighs 7.1 grams. This is truly a one-of-a-kind antique pin which you will treasure forever!
