Vintage Estate Amethyst & Pearl Pendant/Brooch 14K Gold

What a magnificent 1950's pendant/brooch this is! Set with a stunning faceted amethyst, two small cultured pearls, and hand-made floral decorative goldwork everywhere, this pin/pendant is exquisite! Perfect as a wedding day pendant, perfect to wear on a jacket lapel, perfect to wear whenever you want to get noticed! I adore this enchanting piece of history and wish we knew who has loved it across the decades.

There is one bezel set faceted amethyst which measures 20 x 17mm, weighing approximately 18 carats. The amethyst has a rich purple color, with beautiful facets, and a good cut. Notice the gorgeous hand-made flowers & leaves which surround the setting beneath the amethyst, as well as mill grained trim. Two cultured 3.3mm pearls are set to the north and south of the amethyst. What a glorious setting this is!

The pin/pendant is set in a tested 14K yellow gold setting, with 58.3% fineness of pure gold. The brooch measures 2 inches from top to bottom, 3/4 of an inch from east to west. The brooch has a pull-out clasp for extra security. i have worn it from a yellow gold chain & it hangs perfectly. The total piece weighs 10.8 grams.
