This is a very scarce book which adjusts Daniel Defoe's adventure classic for young adults. It is wonderfully illustrated with drawings by Stephen Reid and full color plates by Nancy Smith(1881-1962). She was a British designer who began her career as a book illustrator but became one of the first professional female poster designers in Britain. She created numerous posters for London Transport.

Condition: Front cover edges rubbed and cloth spine faded. Interior clean, bright and tight with no markings and no foxing.
