Caroline's Jewelry with a Past is offering a sterling silver Victorian era horse stick pin circa 1900. This stick pin features a galloping horse. The horse has a round, cabochon cut garnet for his eye. His collar has a band of three natural, half pearls. The horse is 7/8" wide X 5/8" wide (maximum dimensions). The entire length of the stick pin is 2-3/4" overall. It is marked "Sterling".

In Victorian symbolism, horses represent freedom, a determination of spirit, endurance, and majesty, among other ideals.

The silver content of this piece has been tested using standard accepted testing methods, such as acid testing. The piece is marked "sterling" and has been polished.
