Caroline's Jewelry with a Past is offering an Edwardian gaming stick pin in 18kt. and 14kt. yellow gold c. 1900. The stickpin features a nicely engraved horse head with bridle. The head is 18kt.+ yellow gold with a 14kt. yellow gold stick. The head is 3/8" wide X 3/8" wide (maximum dimensions). The pin is 2-1/4" long. The piece weighs 0.7 grams.

During the reign of Edward VII (1901-1910), who appreciated the sports associated with gaming and racing, jewelry celebrated these sports. It was an homage to the upper class. Horses, horseshoes, birds, etc were used from about 1890 through the first world war.

The gold content of this piece has been tested using standard accepted testing methods, such as acid testing.
