Caroline's Jewelry with a Past is offering a handmade gilded sterling silver pendant holding an ancient Hadrian, Roman Emperor silver coin. The silver denarius is of Publius Aelius Hadrianus Augustus (24 January AD 76 – 10 July AD 138) who was Roman emperor from 117 to 138 AD. The front face of the coin is of Hadrian without a laurel wreath and with a beard. The obverse has Nike, also called the "Winged Victory" holding an olive branch. The modern gilded fame has ribbing and two facia decorations. It is designed to hold the coin without damage. The piece is 1" round and drops 1-1/8". The bale is fixed and the piece can be used as a pendant, key ring or other attachment. The pendant weighs 14.7 grams.

The silver content of this piece has been tested using standard accepted testing methods, such as acid testing.
