Caroline's Jewelry with a Past is offering a pair of sterling silver and 14kt. yellow gold cuff links by James Avery c. 1975. These modernistic links feature a rectangular shape superimposed with a three dimensional 14kt. gold lobed triangular strip running along the long rectangle. The links are 15/16" wide X 3/4" tall X 7/8" long (maximum dimensions). The cuff links are fixed back with an oval whale back. The reverse of each link is marked with the James Avery symbol of a three candle candelabra + "JA" + "14K" + "STERLING. The pieces weigh 21.6 grams.
James Avery founded his business in 1954 in Kerrville, Texas, in the Texas Hill County. In 1957, he created his first catalog with 39 items. His jewelry features a number of religiously inspired themes. Although James Avery died in 2018, his business is still a family enterprise with stores in a number of states.
The silver content of this piece has been tested using standard accepted testing methods, such as acid testing. The silver is marked "Sterling". The gold is marked "14K".
