This antique 14k gold paneled thimble has alternating hand engraved and plain sections. The engraved panels alternate between scrolls with flourishes and stacked blossoms. The monogram LAH also appears.
The tool is quite small at a size 4. Perhaps a child's or a pinky thimble. The small size makes this perfect to have made into a bracelet charm.
Measurements: almost 3/4” high x almost 9/16” at the widest
Weight: 2.8 grams
Size: 4 stamped on the side
Signature: stamped inside the apex with the Simons Brothers mark, the 14K mark, and the letter A
Condition: I see a mark that might be a needle scratch and might be part of the engraving. Otherwise, minor typical surface rubbing. The honeycomb feels sharp and has not softened with use or polishing. Properly round. Some soiling in the recesses.
