This is a crudely strung mix of early Venetian glass trade beads. Included are 37 unique examples.
From end to end, the beads alone measure almost 19" long. The largest bead, white with bands of goldstone, measures 25mm x 15mm at the widest.
The necklace does not have a clasp and must be tied around the neck to wear.
Condition: a tiny chip here and there (I really have to look to find them), one larger end chip on the long green and goldstone bead. Were the necklace to be worn, the large back double knot would have to be untied and retied. There are small knots at the ends of the beads which keeps the beads on the twine when the strand is unstrung.
