Book or Bible Holder Lectern Biedermeier Needlepoint
This beautiful lectern is coming from Germany and dated about 1870. It is made of fruit tree. It has a beautiful wooden frame with fine marquetry baguette, made of wood too and a little bit brighter.
To the middle a large canvas panel, protected by glass. The handmade needlepoint wool embroidery shows a very pleasant flower bouquet and has s small golden embossed board baguette.
The easel back is an intricate adaptable construction made of wood. It is fixed with screws; this is surely a later fixation.
The condition is good. There is a repair to the base to report. It is good done, but visible from the bottom. It the book holder stays there is only a fine line (jointed pieces) to see. Some use traces to the surface.
Measurements: 9.8 x 11.8 inches.
