19th Century Hand Carved Ink Well Stunning Design
This superb desk set ins hand carved and comes from the Black Forest area. Dated about 1880/1900.
The design is fantastic, intricate wine leaves and a wonderful grape to the middle, its steam begins on the ink receptacle lid and ends in the grape. Please look the pictures - I am unfortunately a little bit unpoetically and guess my description is not so good.
Well, mostly of us do not write with pencil and ink, but such a piece would look fabulous on a desk and the ink receptacle holes can be used for all little things at our place of work like clips.
The condition is good to very good, some ink spots as the desk set is used. Negligible use traces to the tips of the leaves and the ink receptacle are missed.
Measurements: 11 x 5.4 inches, 2.6 inches in height.
