The Quartoscope was produced by the Mills Novelty Co. in 1897. This floor model measures 57" high, 87" high with the marque. It is 21" wide (including the feet) and 21" deep. The mechanism works perfectly. By pressing the button on the side, you can view one of the images, helping you decide whether you want to spend your coin to view the rest.
I was told this is a 1 cent machine but a nickel also works. Drop your coin in and pull the handle and you will see a series of twelve images. There are 4 sets of 12 cards. It looks as though the case was refinished at one time. It is in beautiful condition.
