Here for your consideration is this beautiful old Christmas calendar top depicting a snowy scene of a bird viewing a snow covered church. Originally, these decorative scenes where made as wall calendars, the bottom would have a small monthly calendar where each month would be torn off at the month’s end. There also would have been a small cardboard pocket to hold items like letters and so forth. The calendar and pocket no longer attached and this lovely top serves as a wall decoration, this would make a beautiful addition for your holiday decorating. It was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's of heavily embossed painted cardboard accented with glitter. There is slight wear and rubs consistent with its age with some glitter loss and it has darkened with age as you can see by the pictures. It measures a nice size 9 inches by 9 ½ inches wide. This wonderful calendar top would be a nice accent to complete your holiday decor. It would be a great gift for a Christmas collector or you!
