Here for your consideration is this wonderful Halloween decoration a German-style Jack O Lantern/candy bucket This lantern was made in the USA by Jerry & Carol Smith in the 1990s, they were the owners of Cottage Creations from Missouri where they were well known for making and selling holiday décor especially highly collectible Santa figurines. This particular lantern is made of a light composition material over cardboard. It has paper inserts with painted eyes. Nose, and mouth glued to the interior of the head. When a lit candle was placed in the center the lantern would be illuminated and through eyes and mouth would cast an eerie spooky look. People would use these to decorate for Halloween placing them on a mantel or on a window sill. You can place a tea light inside the lantern where the light will illuminate the lantern face with a spooky glow. You could also put candy or other treasures inside it using it as a candy container/bucket. This particular Jack O Lantern is in very nice condition with slight wear consistent with its age use and storage over the years as you can view in the pictures. This fellow is not common and beginning to become hard to find, it measures approximately 8 inches across and 6 inches high. It is a nice large size that will display wonderfully. This would make a wonderful addition to any Halloween Collector's collection or a wonderful gift for someone special. Here is your opportunity to own this piece of Halloween history.
