Here for your consideration is this lovely right facing horsehead fur-clip designed and patented by Adolph Katz in 1943 entitled "Thoroughbreds" these horsehead fur clips were also sold as part of a duette set of two each facing the other. This particular fur-clip brooch is made of sterling silver vermeil - a light gold plating. It is fur clip is hallmarked on the reverse Corocraft with the Pegasus mark and sterling, the two-prong fur clip is also marked sterling. Pegasus Corocraft is the higher end quality jewelry made by the Coro Company. The Horse’s mane is covered with beautiful sparkly baguettes and rhinestones. Topped with clear white marquise rhinestone ears and a nice big red eye. This collectible clip measures approximately 2 ¼ inches x 2 inches with a 3/8-inch-deep profile. This horse head was well loved there is slight wear consistent with its age, use and storage as you can view in the pictures.
