Vintage wonderful necklace of Isis the Egyptian goddess of magic and giver of life. Well made Large cast and cut out with shiny gold tone on the back and beautiful rich colors cloisonne enamel on the front in deep blues, turquoise, white and red. Isis is knelling surrounded by her wings and holding a solar disk. In very good condition with minor to no tiny flea bite size wear. Has a connected open cut oval link chain that goes directly over head with no clasp. This fabulous statement piece measures 3’'”W and 2 1/2”L. Chain is 26”L.

More than any other of the ancient Egyptian goddesses, Isis embodied the characteristics of all the lesser goddesses that preceded her. Isis became the model on which future generations of female deities in other cultures were to be based.

As the personification of the "complete female", Isis was called "The One Who Is All", Isis Panthea ("Isis the All Goddess"), and the "Lady of Ten Thousand Names".
