A most rare and exciting goldette find. Done in a antiqued silver tone color gorgeous pendent center has some normal color variations, otherwise in very good condition. The large circular pendent has incredible carved repousse ( raised and hammered) detail work of a very lovely woman's face surrounded by flowers and beautiful flowing art nouveau style design. Love the backs on these which openly show off the molded casted work. There is a small dent in rim on back, it does not effect the front or design. The rim is surrounded in clear rhinestones, they have a gray cast and are crisp .Nine varying sized dangling cascading water fall metal link dangles. All are etched worked front and back and have a raised beaded and semi bullet finish end. Same design carries through on the double neck portion only this is ended with the classic half moon findings, then a link chain extender with a J hook close and same raised beaded finish end as dangles.
Antiqued and shiny silver tone metal. It is signed Goldette in script with a (r) on raised oval on back. Signature has some slight fading. Piece has not been cleaned as most collectors prefer some patina. Circa 50's and the (r) represents that this is owned by Ben Carter. Founder of circle jewelry products in Business from 50's to 60's. Outside of above mentioned minor flaws to pendent, there is no metal wear and piece is sensational looking. There is a picture of a Goldette gold tone brooch on page 208 of Collecting Costume Jewelry 303, by Julia C. Carroll, which is smaller, but identical to this pendant.)
measures 32'L open double chain 16' the adjustable extension 4 1/2' Pendent is 2 1/2'L and W.
