Vintage 1971 Scrabble board game manufactured by Selchow & Righter Company of Bay Shore, New York. While James Brunot was the original manufacturer and promoter of the board game beginning in 1948, Alfred Butts actually invented the game in 1939. This vintage board game is in NEAR MINT condition with all pieces complete. The original storage box is also in near mint condition with no holes, tears, stains or broken or split box corners. This is like brand new- evidently the owners did not play with it more than a few times.
