A stunning mid-century set of Amberina Rearing Horse Bookends by L.E. Smith Glass. These horse bookends are in the rarest of colors. The colors change depending on the light and viewing angle. The L.E. Smith glass company was established in 1907 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. The horses measure approximately 8" tall by 6" wide by 5 ¼” by 3" at the base. They are in excellent condition. No chips, flea bites or cracks. These heavyweight rearing horse glass bookends were a popular item with several glass companies including Imperial, Fostoria and Heisey from the 60s-90s. The distinguishing features of these Smith models are the bumpy beaded mane and 8" height.
