Vintage 1940’s Cinderella wooden grape crate distributed by the Schuman Company of Hollywood, California. Most people are not aware that Hollywood, California started out as a single adobe hut on land outside of Los Angeles, California in 1853 and growing crops there was a successful venture by 1870. It was a thriving agricultural center for California long before it became the Hollywood we know of today. The Schuman Company was a fruit distributor during this time period in Hollywood, California. The vintage wooden fruit crate features a complete and colorful paper label with the iconic Cinderella figure holding a bunch of grapes. The label is in excellent condition with no missing pieces and has maintained its original brilliant label colors. There is some very minor shelf wear as expected with this type of product. The crate is also in good condition condition. The vintage fruit crate measures 17 1/2" high, 14 " wide and 6 1/4" high.
