This dramatic Art Deco gutta percha and marcasite bar pin from the 1920's is made from marcasite and gutta-percha. (Gutta-percha is a genus of tropical trees native to Southeast Asia. It measures 2.50 inches long x more than .25 inches wide and is backed in silver with a "C" curve closure. This collector's item is in great antique condition with a normal bit of wear from age and use, and would look pretty fabulous on a jacket, hat or scarf. Most marcasite pins are not usually combined with gutta-percha, which makes this an unusual piece.
