This Victorian antique sterling silver wax seal from about 1880 or so, has all the elements of style, including a seal that has not been engraved, which is pretty unusual. This antique piece from the past would compliment a modern desk beautifully, and would also make a super gift for a letter or note writer or collector. It is marked sterling on the front, is in excellent antique condition, with a bit of wear from age and use, and measures about 4.25 inches tall x 1.0 inch wide.
This special piece has been part of our personal 125-piece antique writing instrument and desk accessory collection that appeared at the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt Museum of Design's Reading and Writing Exhibit in 1980 in New York City.
