This beautiful hand-painted porcelain pin laden with soft pink and peach roses on a pastel blue and white background was painted around 1880. It was a fashion trend back then for young girls to hand paint their own brooches and give them as gifts. There's enough room to paint a flower or two in the center now and make it your own if you're the creative type. This lovely measures 2 ½ inches long x 2 inches wide and is backed on a solid brass frame with an old "C" curve closure. The piece is in very good antique condition.
This piece is part of our personal collection that has been stashed away for 30 years and is now making its debut to the public for sale.
