This large and beautiful hand-painted porcelain brooch/pin with soft pink and peach roses on a pastel blue and white background was painted around 1880. It was a fashion trend back then for young girls to hand paint their own brooches and give them as gifts. This lovely piece measures 2.50 inches long x 2.0 inches wide and is backed on a solid brass frame with a "C" curve closure typical of the day. The piece is in very good antique condition with a bit of normal wear from age and use.
Don't forget, naturally eco-friendly and green, antiques and vintage are the ultimate in helping the environment.
