This fabulous Victorian neckpiece is an antique porcelain painting of a fashionable Victorian young woman of the time. She looks like one of Jane Austen's wonderful characters, or a Downton Abbey sister living the life of privilege. The painting itself, which was done in about 1880, shows the woman with a pastel green background who has fabulous hair tied with a blue ribbon. She is framed in a handmade, handcrafted brass oval frame with a curved openwork piece on top. I've added a new brass 28" box chain that has a decorative lanyard hook. The piece is in good antique condition with a tiny mark on her face, and measures 2.50 long (including the whole frame) x 1.50 inches wide.
This special gem has been a part of our personal collection and has been stashed away in a trunk for over 30 years (really!). It is now time to take it out and share with everyone all over the world, so enjoy!
