This beautiful set of eight German majolica plates were produced at the Villeroy and Boch factory in Schramberg. The mark indicates they were made circa 1918. They are skillfully formed with raised lilies of the valley and leaves in an Art Nouveau inspired design. They are brightly glazed in tones of turquoise and green. They would make an impressive display.
Condition: Very fine condition. One plate has a small glaze chip on the edge. Please see photo. The glaze and color are strong on all. Mold marks on the back as originally made. No other chips or cracks noted.
