This is a beautiful example of a classic scalloped edge Meissen cabinet plate. I am listing this from my personal collection and originally selected it for the stunning center flower, hand painted in vivid tones of orange, yellow, and green. The plate has a raised dish shape with three cartouches surrounding the center flower. Each cartouche features a different flower. The scalloped plate is superbly accented with heavy gilding.
The plate itself is the finest brilliant white porcelain characteristic of Meissen. The plate has a blue underglaze crossed swords mark for 1924-1934. There are two cancellation marks through the swords, and two on the blank, but I cannot find any imperfection with the plate, other than a small bit of gilt loss on the interior rim, likely from stacking over the years. It has an additional impressed mark of F152b.
This is a gorgeous cabinet plate and a real stand out in any display.
