Started in 1948 by Ursula and Hermann Schneider, both architects, who designed architectural ceramic elements for their building projects. This stoneware bowl is an excellent example of her craft. Very mid-century modern in design with contrasting handles and brightly colored glazes. Exterior glaze is a semi matte white with high gloss blue applied to the handles. The interior has a repeat of the blue with orange and yellow bullseye on the bottom. Bowl measures 4" high and 6 1/2" in diameter and is marked as shown. Believe that this dates from the mid to late 1960's. Very difficult pieces to find.
