Interesting design from enigmatic pottery company Deena Products but are better known by the Savoy China line. Not much is known about this Kentucky company. One well known decoration used was so called weeping gold where 24k gold was used to add a rich contrast to the high gloss glazes. This flower form vase has 4 open petals above a vertical ribbed body with pedestal base. The glaze is a high gloss yellow and the gold is richly applied. The vase stands 4 3/4" high and still retains most of its original felt base. The interior is stamped in gold as shown.
There are no chips, cracks or fleabites. There is some wear to the gilt trim as shown. These heavily gilded pieces are earlier production. Later down the road, the cost of gold made these pieces unpractical so the company adopted a splatter effect.
