Princeton china company was a New York based pottery that produced wares during the 1940's. Common use of clear glazed pink clay is one way to tell their wares from others. This pink clay lamp has a 2 part body with a cast base. The urn shape is decorated to two stylized swans. The squared base holds the trumpet foot that connects to the main body of the lamp. Both pottery pieces are made of vitrified pink clay. The metal base is marked with A Beck NY. Lamp comes complete with harp and plastic covered fabric shade. To save on shipping, buyer may decline shade as I do not think it is original to the lamp.
There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs. The wiring is original and the lamp does work well. The 7th picture shows a black mark under the glaze on one of the swans. Very decorative and functional lamp from a somewhat obscure maker.
