Abingdon produced a variety of flower pots during their relatively short production. This particular decoration dates between 1938-46. This size came plain, with attached saucer and hand decorated under glaze such as this piece. The decorated items are less commonly found and have a pleasing appearance. This one is decorated with poppies in blue, green and red on an ivory pot. It measures 4" high and 4 3/4" in diameter. The base is marked as shown.
As shown, there is interior age crazing that can be removed with a soaking in peroxide. There are no chips, cracks or fleabites.
