Dating from the 1940's comes this decorative footed bowl from S.A.C.A. which, in English, stands for “Society of Anonymous Ceramic Artists”. This group was active in Sesto Fiorentino from 1920 to the 1950's. This bowl is extremely decorative with a faux marbleized glaze of red and brown with mottled turquoise and a heavy gold trim. The interior has purple and blue flowers with shaded green leaves. All this is high lighted with gold. The oblong bowl has crimped sides. It measures 4" high, 9 1/4" in length and 6 1/4" wide. The base is marked as shown. This was not made for export as its missing the Made In Italy stamp.
The 6th picture shows a touched up glaze flake on the rim. There are no other signs of damage or use. This displays beautifully.
