I'm stumped as to the maker of this small pitcher. The handle is shaped like a branch and the body looks like a burlap sack or woven basket. The foot and rim are decorated with leaves and the front has 3 cherries. It stands 6" high to the top of the handle. The high gloss glaze is pink blush on the creamy yellow clay body. The base is hand incised USA and also has ink stamped numbers.
I'm wondering if this could be from Morton, Monmouth or another Illinois pottery company. It would date from the 1920's to early 1930's.
