Stunningly artistic Zell Schmider Keramik vase designed by Anneliese Beckh circa mid 1950's. Beautifully formed bottle shape with contoured accents and slope cut neck. Very reminiscent of the era and most likely influenced by Picasso, Cubism and Modernist styles. Vase stands 25.5cm ( 10") high and is marked on the base as shown. Pieces from this lesser known pottery are rarer than the output of the large ceramics factories of the 60's / 70's, and this earlier Mid Century style is very collectable.
Last picture shows a very tiny glaze flake on the rim. There are no chips, cracks, stains or obvious signs of use.
