Vintage 1930's Jeannette glass large rectangular leftover dish with original lid. Glass is a soft powder blue called delphite. Dish measures 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" and is 2 3/4" high with the lid in place. Although unmarked, this piece is found on page 229 of the 6th edition of Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years by Gene Florence. This size does not come up for sale often.
There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or signs of use. The glass is shiny and glossy. This piece appears to have been rarely used. As shown in the photos, the lid does not sit squarely. One edge sits higher so it cannot entirely seal.
