Uncommonly found George Wade & Son England pelican figural nut dish circa 1945-1949. Following description is from The World of Wade Book 2:

In the late 1930s, a set of seven birds, also based on carvings by Faust Lang, were introduced but not marketed seriously until after World War II when the molds were taken over by Wade Heath who produced and marketed them until the mid 1950s.

Pelican measures 6" high and 7 1/2" in length and has Mark type 10 which dates it to the late 1940's.
