Vintage 1930's Wade Heath Flaxman ware circa 1937-38. Figure is modeled after the famous Bonzo dog created by George Studdy in 1922. Figure is covered in a matte caramel Flaxman glaze with hand-painted accents. Dog measures 4 1/4" high and the mark on the base dates this piece.
There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs. There is a spot of thinness to the glaze at the back of the head as shown. Some wear to the accents.
