Offered for sale: Sterling Silver Native American ring with large Sonora Blue turquoise.
Sonora Blue turquoise is from a small mine just over the Mexican border. I am pretty sure the mine is closed now. A friend
helped mine the turquoise and then used Native American silversmiths from Gallup to make jewelry using the turquoise.
This ring has a large heart shape piece of turquoise which is bezel set using serrated edges. The turquoise measures
32mm by 28mm. The turquoise sits on top of a wide band which measures 22mm wide at the top and then tapers to 9mm
at the bottom. The band is decorated with applied pieces of silver so when looking at the the ring side ways, 2 layers of
silver can be seen. A small area at the bottom of the band has been left undecorated so that ring can be sized. The ring is
stamped 'Sterling' on the inside of the ring along with the hallmark 'Lucky' which is the hallmark of a Native American jewelry shop.
The ring is a size 10.
