This all black dresser or vanity box was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930's era. The ornate jeweling would have been done by the Neiger Brothers and is typical of their high quality jeweling. The feet are even malachite glass which matches the long oval ones set in the gilded metal work that goes around the entire box. A larger size stone of a moulded bird design is set in the lid. They used this stone often in jewelry and perfume bottles. The lid has an unusual finish. It is different than just frosting and results in a look of leather. The interior & sides of the base glass are hand polished to a high shine.
There are no chips and the gilding of the metal is in bright gold condition. It is 3 1/2" long by 2 3/4" wide and 2" high. I haven't found a signature but it is definitely Czech.
A beautiful box to put with your perfume bottles or use anywhere.
